Who can join Research Plus Me?

Anyone can sign up for an account. You do not need to be affiliated with ASU to join. 

How can I sign up for Research Plus Me?

Signing up for the platform takes 1-2 minutes.

How does Research Plus Me protect my safety and privacy?

Every study posted on Research Plus Me must be approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure that it complies with all applicable regulations, meets ethical standards, and protects participants. 

Each study will provide information about what is required from you, how the data collected will be used and protected, and whom to contact with any questions. You can stop participating in a study at any time without penalty. 

The information you enter into the Research Plus Me portal is stored in a secure database and will never be sold, lent, or otherwise given to any vendor at any time.

How can I stay notified about studies I am interested in?

When you create a profile on Research Plus Me, you can follow different topics and subtopics. Topics include general categories, such as “Arts and Humanities” and “Health and Medicine.” Subtopics include more specific categories, such as “Exercise and Wellness,” “Political Science” and “Linguistics.” 

When you follow topics, Research Plus Me will send you a weekly email with studies you might find interesting.

Is Research Plus Me free? 

Research Plus Me is free for any IRB-approved ASU study. 

Who can post a study?

Any ASU researcher with an IRB-approved study can post on Research Plus Me at no cost. This includes student researchers if they are working with an ASU-based principal investigator. 

How do I post my study?

The three-step process can be completed in 10-20 minutes. Specific steps are available in the Researchers tab, where you will also find a 3-minute video tutorial.

How can I improve recruitment for my study? 

Be sure to pick an interesting title that your target audience can understand. Also, select categories and sub-topics that directly relate to your study. These will help people find your study when navigating Research Plus Me. It will also send email notifications to those who follow specific topics. For additional recommendations, you can reach the Program Manager at [email protected].

How do I stop recruiting when my study is full or no longer adding participants? 

You can return to your study at any time and click “Deactivate.” Alternatively, you can email [email protected] and we can deactivate your study on your behalf.
